Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tanker Broker, located in Noida,India. The Tanker Broker will be responsible for liaising with ship owners and charterers to negotiate and facilitate tanker charter agreements. Responsibilities include researching market trends, finding suitable cargo or vessels for clients, managing contracts, and building strong professional relationships with stakeholders. The role requires market analysis, attending industry events, remaining updated on industry standards, and resolving any issues that may arise during charter operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience and expertise in tanker broking, including a thorough understanding of vessel operations and chartering practices
  • Strong analytical skills in market research, market trends, and cargo and vessel matching
  • Effective negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with ship owners and charterers
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, and proficiency in managing and drafting contracts
  • Adaptability to on-site work in Dubai, UAE, and flexibility for extensive networking and client collaboration
  • Understanding of maritime regulations and familiarity with offshore operations is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the shipping or maritime industry is highly advantageous
