Customers use our platform to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, etc., all delivered in the comfort of their home and at a time of their choosing. We promise our customers a high-quality, standardized, and reliable service experience. To fulfill this promise, we work closely with our hand-picked service partners, enabling them with technology, training, products, tools, financing, insurance, and brand, helping them succeed and deliver on this promise.
Urban Company started as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders, Abhiraj, Raghav, and Varun, realized that the home services industry was predominantly unorganized, fragmented, and offline. Customers found it challenging to avail quality services conveniently, and service professionals were struggling to make ends meet, having to rely upon several middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators. The founders felt that the industry was ripe for disruption, and launched Urban Company, with three key principles in mind -

Role Overview
The Recruiter will own the end-to-end hiring lifecycle for assigned non-tech roles and act as a strategic partner to the business. This role goes beyond coordination – you will be responsible for enabling high-quality hiring decisions, building strong talent pipelines, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
What You'll Do
● Own the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned open roles – including talent sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer discussions, and onboarding.
● Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and hiring decisions.
● Proactively source candidates through multiple channels such as job boards, social media, referrals, and networking events.
● Maintain and manage accurate data and workflows in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
● Enable the best possible hiring decisions by designing the competence assessment process, equipping hiring managers with Team-fit interviews, aligning expectations, and advising hiring managers in hiring decision-making.
● Deliver stellar candidate experience by giving concrete feedback, ensuring appropriate handover of hired candidates to the pre-boarding process.
● Stay updated on industry trends, recruitment best practices, and innovative sourcing techniques. ● Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams and add value to the business through insights, professionalism, and ownership.
