Location: Bangalore (On-site)

About Mesa

Mesa School of Business is India's first business school built for the startup ecosystem.

We're backed by Elevation Capital and are growing rapidly across Admissions, Programs, Career Outcomes, and new initiatives. We've almost doubled the team in the last few months and expect that momentum to continue.

Which brings us to this role.

Why we're hiring

This will be our first dedicated Talent Acquisition hire.

We already have a People team. What we're looking for now is someone whose superpower is hiring.

Someone who can build recruiting processes, create talent pipelines, partner with hiring managers, and help us scale without lowering the bar.

You'll hire across functions like Admissions, Programs, Career Outcomes, Operations, Founder's Office, and other strategic roles. Many of these won't be straightforward searches, which is exactly why they're interesting.

Over time, you'll also help build and lead the TA function.

Who we're looking for

  • 4–8 years of Talent Acquisition experience (non-tech hiring)
  • Strong experience in Seed to Series B startups
  • Experience building recruiting processes, not just running them
  • Strong sourcing and stakeholder management skills

Bonus points if:

  • At least half your experience is in startup Talent Acquisition (non-tech)
  • The rest comes from VC talent teams, portfolio hiring, recruiting firms, or high-growth corporates
  • You've hired for operator, leadership, Founder's Office, or other hard-to-fill roles
  • You use AI tools to improve how you recruit

If your instinct is to solve a hiring problem rather than wait for inbound applications, we'll probably get along.

What success looks like

  • Six months from now:
  • Hiring feels 2x easier than today
  • People internally ask: How did we function before this person joined
