WHAT THIS ROLE IS REALLY ABOUT
This is a hands-on Talent Partner role - you'll drive outcomes end-to-end, staying close to the details while working directly with founders and stakeholders.
You will think alongside stakeholders, challenge them when needed, and bring structure, insight, and market intelligence into every hiring decision.
If you wait for perfect JDs and clear briefs - this role may feel uncomfortable.
If you figure it out, build pipelines from scratch, and close high-quality talent in ambiguity - you'll thrive here.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
1. Tech & Product Hiring (Core)
- Own end-to-end hiring for Engineering (Backend, AI/ML, Data) and Product roles
- Drive high-impact, hard-to-close roles, with the ability to scale hiring when needed
- Ensure every hire raises the bar on capability, ownership, and culture
2. Talent Partnering
- Work closely with hiring managers to shape roles, not just execute them
- Push back when requirements are unclear, unrealistic, or misaligned with market
- Act as a thought partner - bringing talent insights, compensation benchmarks, and hiring strategy
3. AI & Niche Hiring
- Build strong pipelines for AI/ML engineers, data talent, and product thinkers
- Understand technical depth well enough to screen for quality, not just keywords
- Map talent from relevant ecosystems: startups, product companies, AI-first teams
4. Sourcing & Pipeline Building
- Build high-intent, high-quality pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, and networks
- Create always-on talent benches for critical roles
- Go beyond job boards - use communities, outbound, and creative sourcing
- You're comfortable spending a meaningful part of your time in sourcing - that's where great hiring starts.
5. Hiring Execution & Velocity
- Own the full lifecycle: JD → sourcing → screening → coordination → offer → closure
- Drive fast, structured, and high-quality processes
- Maintain strong candidate experience, especially for senior and niche talent
6. Employer Brand & Culture
- Be the face of GreyLabs AI in the talent market
- Build credibility with candidates through clear storytelling and honest conversations
- Hire for high ownership, low ego, builder mindset - evaluate cultural fit actively
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- 4-8 years in Talent Acquisition with strong focus on Tech and Product hiring
- Startup or high-growth company experience is mandatory
- Proven track record of closing strong candidates in competitive markets
Skills & Capability
- Strong sourcing and headhunting skills - LinkedIn is table stakes, you go beyond it
- Ability to assess technical/product talent with real depth
- Excellent stakeholder management with the confidence to challenge
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Comfort with ATS platforms (Kula) and pipeline data tracking
