ABOUT THE ROLE

This Role is meant to Design and Build IT infrastructure, processes and practices that Augment

and Facilitate all members of the Organization to be more Productive and

accelerate towards their goals while using the IT infrastructure, while ensuring

efficient, secure, and sustainable usage of the same.

From eliminating every delay that an employee incurs while using the IT infrastructure to identifying non-evident context-switching that kills employee productivity and coming up with infrastructure designs and processes, is the key ask.

Process for the sake of a process, will not be entertained. We often tend to

question every practice and process if it disrupts productivity and ease of use.

Utility & Convenience precedes every other objective. This opening could be split into multiple roles based on the combination of skillsets available.

Requirements in Practice:

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and the Microsoft offerings across various product lines that can be utilized.
• Designing and setting up continuous workflow & connected experience with Microsoft Apps, Office and Office 365 administration (including Teams and OneDrive) and PC apps, across teams and groups of the organization.
• Azure and SharePoint Policy design and management for apps and file sharing between organizations and users, that make the access to information to be more organized and easier.
• Knowledge of all computer components and peripherals and must be adept at researching and coming up with best suited HW configurations (laptop, PC, Workstation, Server, Printer, conferencing system, Network systems, etc).
• Must be adept at Identifying Products and SW (Laptops models, SWs, etc) by assessing on best access to Support, Service, cost of acquisition, maintenance, and upgrades/scalability also the richness of the ecosystem.
• Good at identifying, negotiating, and building relationships with the right vendor ecosystem for HW, SW & Service. A strongly connected network of vendors is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Hardware Set-up/Networking setup. Must be adept at assembling PCs and workstations/local server setups.
• Excellent monitoring & troubleshooting skills with HW, connectivity, OS layer and application issues.
• Must be adept at setting up Azure Devops Infrastructure and Active Directory for User Management and design user policies.
• Good with Network administration, Asset and Network Security Intune.
• Setup Remote workflow and remote desktop connectivity. Inter-office infrastructure.

The Evaluation is designed diligently to emulate and reflect the day-to-day tasks that the candidate would undergo. The evaluation is shaped to be entirely exploratory and does not evoke or have any pre-meditated right answer. Yet, this is an objective evaluation which strives to objectively analyse the method of thinking & approach, and not just the result.

What do we seek

This role is shaped to be a strong confluence of Practice and Theory.

As a startup, we are neither blessed with boundless cash to say, theory never matches practice, so let's just jump into getting our hands dirty, thereby lose money and material in blind experiments & endless tinkering / Jugaads without any concrete/viable results, nor are we blessed with boundless time to bury ourselves in tallying meaningless symbols in the name of math that cannot find its resemblance to reality.

Our pursuit is to Investigate the problem, translate it to theory, let the theory expose the unknowns, design experiments only for the unknowns to be known, thereby solving the problem. Scientifically Informed, theoretically tallied and Investigatively experimented

Expect your work to be entirely entrepreneurial like you run a startup of your own.

What does it mean - Unlike in established organizations, the turbulence of the management and even isolated teams will directly impact what you are working on. Sometimes on a daily basis, even leading to a change of the entire requirement.

Needless to say, the exciting yet demanding part of a start-up - every passing day, the Company grows. Expect things to be not orderly and requirements to be changing and evolving rapidly beckoning for a heavy modular and scalable design thinking resulting in ease of upgradability, serviceability and replaceability.

The company is at its early phase. Therefore, it offers a great amount of freedom to shape your career progress. Fortunately, the product covers almost every domain of engineering (except civil). So the freedom to shape the career is not limited only to the current domain of expertise.

While keeping that in mind, the deliberate role growth (outside of management) that we see is for the current role to evolve to help CynLr build organizational capacity in all kinds of IT

Design from Research to Product Development infrastructure (Devops, Internal apps) to Network to HW infra to Security to Data Management and diversify or specialize in any of these domains.

ABOUT US

Today, even the simple task of putting a screw into a screw hole without slipping a thread remains non-automatable across the globe. Imagine what it would take for a robot to assemble a Smartphone or a car (Musk's words) by putting together 1000s of parts of varied shapes and weights presented in random orientations. Enabling robots to perform Picking Orienting & Placing of objects straight from its container has been a long-standing unsolved problem touted as The Holy Grail of Robotics and has remained unsolved over 40 years.

We at CynLr, build the missing pieces of Visual Intelligence for Robotic Arms to make them Object aware to manipulate with superior agility - adapting to the varying shapes, orientations and weights of the object (a demo video link). This we envision could simplify and standardize large, customized factory lines into LEGO blocks of micro-factories.
