Job Description
The Assistant Engineer in the Visual & Dimensional Inspection department plays a critical role in the quality assurance and quality control of the coating processes within the pipe manufacturing industry. This position is tasked with ensuring that all coating activities and finished products adhere to stringent quality standards, project specifications, and international coating norms. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the coating processes, conducting thorough inspections, and performing both destructive and non-destructive tests to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying potential quality issues and implementing corrective measures. The engineer will also be expected to maintain and enhance quality management systems and product certification processes to uphold product integrity. A strong emphasis is placed on aligning with API and ISO standards, ensuring that all operations meet the highest industry benchmarks. The position requires a professional with a global mindset, business acumen, and the ability to lead with vision, focusing on customer satisfaction and resource management.
Principal Accountabilities
Oversee all aspects of quality control in the coating process ensuring that all products meet the required standards and specificationsbr Implement and maintain quality management systems and product certification processes to uphold product integritybr Conduct both destructive and nondestructive testing to ensure the quality of the products identifying any potential issuesbr Carry out inspections to ensure the quality of the products maintaining compliance with industry standardsbr Ensure compliance with API and ISO standards for pipe manufacturing aligning with industry best practicesbr Lead with vision focusing on customer needs and managing resources effectively to achieve organizational goalsbr Encourage interdependencies within the team and promote a culture of quality health safety and environmental orientationbr Show commitment to the organization and solve problems effectively demonstrating leadership and initiativebr Demonstrate functional expertise in operation and QAQC for the pipe industry using analytical thinking and process orientation to improve the quality control processbr Exhibit a global mindset business and commercial acumen people excellence and entrepreneurship contributing to the overall success of the team
