About the Job: Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) at YouTube
- The SPM plays a critical role in managing and growing relationships with YouTube's content partners. This position offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will work on complex content agreements, cross-functionally collaborate with various teams, and drive partner success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in sales, business development/consulting, or content planning, with exposure to media strategy, publishers, healthcare, civic entities, and internet-based businesses.
- Experience working with C-level executives and managing cross-functional relationships.
- Proven experience in managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced degree.
- Ability to identify and assess potential business opportunities, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Ability to operate with flexibility in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Interest or willingness to learn technological concepts, financial models, and government policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business issues and deliver impactful solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and investigative skills related to contractual, technical, and financial matters.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of partners, focusing on day-to-day activities, performance growth, and advocacy.
- Define, model, and analyze key distribution and product adoption metrics, and recommend improvements to both internal teams and partners.
- Lead new business development efforts, including evaluating potential partners, conducting market and content analysis, managing agreements, and closing deals.
- Collaborate across the YouTube Business Organization and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Policy, Legal, etc.) to deliver effective solutions to partners.
