Job Description

Manage raw materials, spares, consumables, and ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, quality compliance, and safe storage practices.
Receive and verify raw materials such as clays, feldspar, quartz, glazes, pigments, chemicals, packaging materials, spares, and consumables.
Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and inward documentation.
Store materials according to category, batch, and quality requirements.
Implement and enforce FIFO/FEFO practices strictly.
Issue materials to production against approved material requisitions.
Maintain accurate physical and system inventory (ERP/SAP/IMS).
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification; reconcile physical stock with ERP records and report variances.
Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels.
Identify and report non-moving, slow-moving, excess, rejected, and scrap materials.
Ensure materials meet quality specifications and segregate rejected or damaged items.
Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and proper stacking in stores.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, SOPs, safety norms, and statutory requirements.
Enforce safe handling of materials using forklifts, pallets, and lifting equipment.
Coordinate with Production, Procurement, QA, and Maintenance departments.
Prepare and submit daily stock reports, material issue reports, and discrepancy statements.
Support audits and inspections with accurate documentation.
Supervise store assistants and helpers; ensure discipline, accountability, and adherence to procedures.
Train staff on material handling and safety practices.
