Key Responsibilities:
Material Receipt & Verification
- Receive and verify raw materials including clays, feldspar, quartz, glazes, pigments, chemicals, packaging materials, spares, and consumables.
- Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and inward documentation.
- Ensure materials meet quality specifications and segregate rejected or damaged items.
Storage & Inventory Management
- Store materials according to category, batch, and quality requirements.
- Implement FIFO / FEFO practices.
- Maintain accurate physical and system inventory using ERP / IMS.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels.
- Identify non-moving, slow-moving, excess, rejected, and scrap materials.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verifications and reconcile variances.
Material Issue & Coordination
- Issue materials to production against approved requisitions.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, QA, and Maintenance departments.
- Prepare daily stock reports, material issue reports, and discrepancy statements.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and proper stacking in stores.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, SOPs, safety norms, and statutory requirements.
- Enforce safe handling of materials using forklifts, pallets, and lifting equipment.
- Support audits and inspections with accurate documentation.
Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise store assistants and helpers.
- Ensure discipline, accountability, and adherence to procedures.
- Train staff on material handling, safety practices, and inventory management.
