About the Role
The
State Manager – Infrastructure & IFM plays a pivotal role in leading infrastructure and facilities management services across the assigned region. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day maintenance and facility operations, contributing significantly to the bank's overall operational efficiency. The role also involves strategic planning by assessing future facility needs and proposing effective solutions to meet them.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage essential services including reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and recycling.
- Ensure all basic facilities are well-maintained and operational.
- Implement performance management techniques to monitor service levels and drive continuous improvement.
- Select furniture and office equipment, oversee layout planning, and supervise workstation arrangements.
- Oversee facility refurbishments, renovations, replacements, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal standards.
- Forecast future facility requirements and plan accordingly.
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords, manage contracts, and negotiate optimal terms for materials and services.
- Adhere to bank reporting procedures and standards.
- Present regular reports on budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure efficient administrative services.
- Obtain quotes and tenders from suppliers and vendors.
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for managing critical environments.
- Plan and monitor staffing levels for facility management, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Oversee training for on-site teams on equipment and procedures, ensuring timely completion.
- Communicate workplace safety protocols to employees.
- Develop contingency plans for unexpected equipment failures.
- Capture and share best practices across teams.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and support units to provide necessary materials and services for daily operations.
- Stay updated on global market trends and competitor strategies.
- Foster a collaborative learning environment and promote shared ownership of responsibilities.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: B.Com / B.Sc / BA / BBI / BMS / B.Arch
- Post-Graduation: MBA / PGDM
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and facilities management.
