How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Lead and manage a team during manufacturing shifts, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Oversee production operations, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety to meet targets and deadlines.
- Address operational issues promptly, making real-time decisions and coordinating with departments like maintenance and materials.
- Train and coach team members on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices to enhance performance.
- Ensure daily maintenance of SMT equipment is completed, coordinating with engineering for machine issues and line changeovers.
- Document production data, complete shift reports, and participate in effective handovers and communication of issues.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and lead root cause analyses for production challenges using appropriate tools.
- Enforce ESD and PPE usage, promoting a safe and organized production environment.
Key Skills And Experience
Must-Have:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree related field with 6+ years of experience in manufacturing industries
- Experience in OEE, First Pass Yield, and Line Efficiency metrics
- In-depth understanding of SMT processes including solder paste printing and reflow soldering
- Excellent communication skills for effective shift handovers and technical issue escalation
- High competency in MSL material handling and ESD safety practices
- Familiarity with IPC standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001
- Experience in leading root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagrams
Nice-To-Have:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing initiatives like 5S and Kaizen
- Understanding of ISO standards and their implementation in manufacturing processes
