Role: Startup research & strategy intern

Duration: 2–3 Months
We are seeking a startup research & strategy intern to identify, evaluate, and build a high-quality pipeline of startups across the agriculture and MSME ecosystem.
This role combines research, startup evaluation, and strategic execution, including contributions to outreach, go-to-market (GTM), and community-building initiatives.
The ideal candidate is curious, structured, and self-driven, with an interest in startups and ecosystem building.
Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Startup discovery and pipeline building:
- Identify and curate startups across the agriculture and MSME sectors.
- Build and maintain a structured startup pipeline or database.
- Research and landscape mapping:
- Analyze sector trends, government policies, and market opportunities.
- Develop concise sector briefs, reports, and opportunity maps.
- Startup evaluation:
- Assess startups on business model, market potential, and scalability.
- Create structured startup summaries for internal review.
- Data collection and intelligence:
- Source insights from platforms (Crunchbase, Tracxn, LinkedIn), reports, etc.
- Track and update relevant data, metrics, and insights.
- Outreach, GTM, and community building:
- Support GTM and outreach strategy design (founder outreach, partnerships).
- Assist in execution, including startup engagement, ecosystem mapping, and program support.
- Contribute to building a strong startup and ecosystem community.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information into insights.
- High attention to detail, organization, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Interest in startups, venture ecosystem, or innovation landscape.
- Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree (engineering, business, economics, agriculture, public policy, or related fields).
- Strong academic background preferred; candidates from top-tier institutions are encouraged, though skills and execution ability matter most.
