Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate clinical competence in all aspects of patient care.
- Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and assess the impact of nursing interventions as required.
- Conduct assessment and reassessment of pain and manage pain appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures for medication management.
- Explain the plan of care to the patient and family.
- Document all patient records in accordance with policies and standards.
- Educate patients and families as required and involve patients, family members, and significant others in the patient's care.
- Administer intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections.
- Manage blood and body fluids, including HAZMAT spills.
- Follow blood drawing protocols and collect required reports.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing care plans and their documentation.
