9+ years of hands-on experience as a Teradata Administrator Strong expertise in: Teradata Database Administration Teradata Viewpoint TASM / TDWM Teradata BAR (Backup & Restore) Deep knowledge of Teradata architecture and internals Strong SQL, query tuning, and performance analysis skills Experience with Linux/Unix systems Proven experience in large-scale, high-availability Teradata environments Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and leadership skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Teradata Platform Administration Lead administration of Teradata Database environments (Development, Test, UAT, Production) Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and version migrations Manage Teradata utilities including: Viewpoint TASM / TDWM BAR (Backup and Restore) Ensure high availability, stability, and operational excellence of Teradata systems Performance & Workload Management Design and manage Teradata workload management strategies (TASM / TDWM) Monitor and tune system and query performance Analyze resource usage, skew, and bottlenecks Implement workload prioritization, throttling, and SLAs
