Job Title: Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance
Overview
The Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance leads the QA function within the engineering organization to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and compliant products. This role partners closely with software development, DevOps, and product teams to define quality standards, establish testing strategies, and drive continuous improvement across the software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, defining goals, priorities, and best practices.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, including test automation, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management to define acceptance criteria and ensure product requirements are testable and measurable.
- Oversee end-to-end testing processesunit, integration, system, and user acceptance.
- Define and track key quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, release quality, etc.).
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives in test frameworks, automation, and CI/CD integration.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, including security and regulatory requirements as applicable.
- Support release management by providing risk assessments and quality sign-offs.
- Foster a culture of quality ownership across all engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of QA experience, with 3+ years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with modern test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, Postman).
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum software development practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in regulated or secure environments a plus.
