Job Description

Lead and support M&A transactions, joint ventures, investments, restructurings, and other strategic corporate actions across the group.
Advise on financing transactions, corporate structuring, governance matters, and legal documentation required for group‑level decision‑making.
Provide strategic legal guidance on impactful projects connected to the broader metals, mining, and engineering ecosystem.
Provide comprehensive legal advisory across multiple group businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant corporate and commercial laws.
Review and negotiate key commercial contracts tied to critical transactions or major operational commitments.
Collaborate with international legal advisors for cross‑border transactions, agreements, and compliance requirements.
Support legal aspects involving overseas partners or international business arrangements.
Work closely with senior leadership, finance, strategy, and operational teams across the organization.
Manage and coordinate external counsel for specialized matters and major transactions.
Support legal work for new business ventures, expansion plans, capital initiatives, or group reorganizations.
Contribute to strengthening internal legal processes, governance systems, and best‑practice frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate would possess:

A degree in Law from a recognized university.
A pure‑play law firm candidate, or someone with a minimum of 5-6 years of law‑firm experience within their overall background, is essential.
Overall 7-10 years of strong experience in M&A, general corporate advisory, and financing transactions.
Proven ability to manage deals end‑to‑end and negotiate complex documents independently.
Experience with multi‑jurisdictional matters
Willingness to work alternate Saturdays and travel once in a while for work trips.
