We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data Governance Analyst to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks. This role will ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance across business units, enabling trusted data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with data stewards, owners, and custodians to define and enforce data quality rules.
- Monitor and report on data quality metrics and compliance with governance standards.
- Support metadata management, data lineage documentation, and data catalog initiatives.
- Facilitate data issue resolution and root cause analysis across systems and domains.
- Partner with IT and business teams to ensure alignment between data governance and data architecture.
- Develop a governance framework for all businesses, regions and functions in an effort to simplify complexity.
- Assist in regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) related to data handling.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions to promote data standards and exercise best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Data Management, or related field (Master's a plus).
- 5- 9 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles.
- Knowledge of master data management (MDM) principles.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations, compliance standards and risk mitigation methodology.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with all levels of leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in SQL and data profiling techniques is desired.
- Certification in data governance or data management a plus (e.g., CDMP).
