Network Operations & Support - SDWAN Cisco/Versa

Experience: 4-6 Years

Location: Chennai/Bangalore

Role Summary:

The Network Engineer SD-WAN is responsible for hands-on delivery, operations and support of enterprise SD-WAN and core networking environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in Cisco and Versa SD-WAN solutions and solid experience in Routing & Switching across enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, support, and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions using Cisco and Versa platforms
  • Perform configuration and operational support for Routing & Switching environments
  • Troubleshoot WAN, LAN, and overlay/underlay SD-WAN issues
  • Support network changes, migrations, and upgrades in production environments
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities
  • Collaborate with service providers, OEMs, and internal teams
  • Maintain technical documentation and network diagrams

Key Skills & Technology Requirements:

  • SD-WAN Technologies: Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) and/or Versa SD-WAN (mandatory)
  • Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP (mandatory)
  • Cisco routing and switching platforms (mandatory)
  • Enterprise WAN and LAN troubleshooting
  • Basic network security concepts (ACLs, VPN fundamentals)
  • Exposure to service provider WAN environments
  • Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • ITIL-aligned operational processes

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 46 years of experience in enterprise networking roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with SD-WAN and Routing & Switching
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Strong ownership and operational discipline

Other Qualification and requirement:

Any degree or relevant education is must. This role requires working at customer locations based on business needs.
