Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Growth:

  • Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the retail mortgage sector, expanding market share and driving revenue growth.
  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive business development and relationship-building efforts.
  • Client Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty. Provide expert guidance and mortgage solutions tailored to the clients needs.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with real estate agents, property developers, brokers, and other key industry stakeholders to generate referrals and expand the business network.
  • Competitive Positioning: Keep track of competitors offerings and market trends to ensure the company's products are competitively positioned in the market.

Product Knowledge & Innovation:

  • Mortgage Product Expertise: Stay current on all retail mortgage products and services, understanding market trends, and adapting to new regulations and opportunities in the mortgage sector.
  • Tailored Solutions: Develop customized mortgage solutions for individual and institutional clients based on their unique financial needs and goals.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Work closely with product teams to suggest improvements or new features to existing mortgage products based on market feedback and customer needs.

Sales and Performance Management:

  • Team Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with sales and customer-facing teams to ensure alignment on goals, targets, and client-facing initiatives.
  • Sales Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to junior business development staff to help them achieve personal and team goals.
  • Pipeline Management: Ensure a strong pipeline of mortgage applications and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closure.

Client Service & Relationship Management:

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring the seamless delivery of mortgage products to clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Address client issues or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • After-Sales Support: Maintain ongoing communication with clients post-sale to ensure continued satisfaction and potential future business opportunities.

Risk and Compliance:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business development activities are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies and standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the mortgage application process and ensure effective risk management strategies are in place.

Skills and Experience:

  2. Sales & Business Development: Proven ability to develop business opportunities, build and nurture relationships, and drive sales performance in the mortgage or financial services industry.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the retail mortgage or financial services industry.
