Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Query Development:
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
• Write and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and views to ensure optimal performance of database operations.
• Perform query tuning and indexing to enhance performance and ensure the scalability of SQL-based systems.
• Database Design and Management:
• Create database schemas, tables, and relationships to support applications and business needs.
• Implement data integrity and normalization best practices in database design.
• Perform data migration, data mapping, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes as needed.
• Performance Optimization:
• Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in SQL queries and databases, applying optimization techniques to improve query response times and resource usage.
• Analyze and optimize database schemas and queries to enhance overall system performance.
• Database Integration:
• Integrate SQL databases with front-end systems and back-end applications, ensuring smooth and reliable data flows.
• Collaborate with other developers and technical teams to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions that meet those needs.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Write SQL queries for data extraction, report generation, and business intelligence purposes.
• Work with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS) to create and deliver insights from data.
• Provide ad-hoc support for data reporting and analysis as needed.
• Database Maintenance and Support:
• Ensure backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and effectively maintained for SQL databases.
• Regularly monitor and maintain database performance, performing necessary updates and patches.
• Provide ongoing support for database issues, incidents, and troubleshooting.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to define requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Document database designs, SQL queries, and processes to ensure transparency and ease of understanding for team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in SQL development.
• Strong experience with database design, data modeling, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with writing complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL, including advanced concepts like Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, and Functions.
• Strong knowledge of database optimization techniques and best practices.
• Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Version Control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with ETL tools or frameworks is a plus (e.g., SSIS, Talend).
