Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
SQL Developer / Database Engineer with strong expertise in SQL concepts and database systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in query optimization, performance tuning, and ETL processes, along with exposure to programming languages like Java or Python.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and database solutions
- Work extensively with:
- Joins, subqueries, and window functions
- CTEs (Common Table Expressions)
- Analyze and improve query performance and database efficiency
- Perform database performance tuning using:
- Indexing strategies
- Execution plan analysis
- Partitioning techniques
- Design and manage data pipelines using ETL tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
- Ensure data integrity, security, and scalability of database systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of SQL concepts and relational databases
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:
- Oracle Database
- Microsoft SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- Expertise in:
- Query optimization
- Performance tuning techniques
- Indexing and execution plans
- Partitioning strategies
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good to Have
- Programming knowledge in Java and/or Python
- Experience with data warehousing concepts
- Exposure to big data technologies is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Relevant certifications in database technologies (optional)
