Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food preparation.
  • Develop and design authentic South Indian menus that highlight traditional and contemporary dishes.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all menu items.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize kitchen profitability.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef specializing in South Indian cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of South Indian culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire kitchen staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop creative and appealing menus while maintaining authenticity.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with management and staff.
