Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role for a Sous Chef specializing in continental cuisine, based in Delhi, India. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising food preparation, and ensuring the consistent quality and presentation of dishes. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, monitoring inventory levels, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. The Sous Chef will also contribute to the development of new recipes and ensure smooth daily operations within the culinary team.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in continental cuisine preparation, menu planning, and an in-depth understanding of cooking techniques and flavor profiles
  • Experience in kitchen management, team supervision, and maintaining inventory and supplies
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen organization standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively guide and collaborate with the culinary team
  • Creativity to contribute to new recipe development and presentation innovation
  • Ability to maintain composure and manage a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in hospitality or food-related fields is preferred
