Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef located in the Navi Mumbai. Responsible for supporting the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will manage kitchen operations, ensure food preparation and presentation meet high-quality standards, and oversee kitchen staff. Additional responsibilities include planning menus, monitoring inventory, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and assisting in training team members.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills in food preparation, plating, and maintaining consistency in flavors and presentation
- Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and cost management
- Proficiency in kitchen hygiene, food safety, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Leadership abilities to supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Formal culinary training or diploma in culinary arts is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food services industry
