Sous Chef - Continental Cuisine

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Flurys, located in Mumbai. The Sous Chef will be involved in daily kitchen operations, oversee food preparation and presentation, and ensure the highest standards of quality and hygiene. Creating new menu. Responsibilities include managing kitchen staff, supervising the preparation of all food items, maintaining kitchen inventory and supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also involves contributing to menu creation and modification, as well as training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Qualifications

  • Culinary skills and expertise in food preparation and presentation
  • Experience in kitchen management, including supervising staff and maintaining inventory
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Menu creation and modification skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
