Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Sous Chef at BLR Brewing Co. The Sous Chef will assist in managing kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and ensuring efficient preparation and presentation of dishes. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, creating and refining recipes, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and collaborating with the Head Chef to plan menus. The role requires a hands-on approach to daily operations and the ability to lead and inspire the culinary team.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including expertise in food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Competency in kitchen management, such as staff supervision, inventory management, and cost control
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and adherence to kitchen safety standards
- Ability to create and adapt recipes, work collaboratively, and ensure quality and consistency in all dishes
- Strong leadership, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Formal culinary training or certification is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus
