We are seeking a skilled and proactive SolarWinds Administrator/Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our SolarWinds monitoring environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting various SolarWinds modules, ensuring robust monitoring of network, server, and application performance. This role requires strong technical expertise in SolarWinds products and the ability to contribute to the overall stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain various SolarWinds modules such as NPM (Network Performance Monitor), SAM (Server & Application Monitor), NCM (Network Configuration Manager), IPAM (IP Address Manager), SRM (Storage Resource Monitor), DPA (Database Performance Analyzer), etc.
• Monitor the performance and availability of network devices, servers, applications, and databases using SolarWinds.
• Configure alerts, reports, and dashboards to provide actionable insights into IT infrastructure health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SolarWinds functionalities and monitored components.
• Perform regular health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning for the SolarWinds environment.
• Develop custom pollers, alerts, and reports to meet specific monitoring requirements.
• Integrate SolarWinds with other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools or third-party systems as required.
• Manage user access and permissions within the SolarWinds platform.
• Stay updated with the latest SolarWinds features, patches, and upgrades, and plan for their implementation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to IT operations teams on using SolarWinds effectively.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the SolarWinds environment, configurations, and monitoring procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis of performance issues identified through SolarWinds.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with SolarWinds monitoring suite.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting SolarWinds modules.
• Solid understanding of network protocols (SNMP, WMI, ICMP), server operating systems (Windows, Linux), and database technologies.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation within SolarWinds.
• Ability to design and implement effective monitoring solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate with various teams.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices is a plus.
