Position:L3 SolarWinds Implementation & Integration Lead (NMS Product Owner)

Role Overview
We are looking for a
senior L3 SolarWinds professional who can
own the NMS platform end-to-end. This role requires
deep product-level expertise in SolarWinds, including
design, implementation, integration, upgrades, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate should be capable of
deploying SolarWinds from scratch, independently handling complex issues, and
leading a team as the final escalation point. Strong focus is on
implementation and integration, not just monitoring operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSolarWinds Product Ownership (L3)
- Act as the primary owner of the SolarWinds platform
- Independently design, implement, and deploy SolarWinds from scratch
- Architect scalable and high-availability SolarWinds environments
- Perform core and module upgrades, patching, and platform optimization
- Handle L3/L3+ escalations and complex troubleshooting
Implementation & Architecture
- Implement and manage SolarWinds modules including:
- NPM (Network Performance Monitor)
- NCM (Network Configuration Manager)
- SAM (Server & Application Monitor)
- IPAM, NTA, HA (as required)
- Design monitoring models, alert frameworks, dependencies, and escalation policies
- Define best practices, standards, and deployment models
Integration & Observability
- Integrate SolarWinds with:
- ITSM tools (ServiceNow or equivalent)
- Log & analytics platforms (Splunk dashboards, metrics, log correlation)
- Other monitoring or enterprise tools as required
- Enable end-to-end observability by correlating metrics, alerts, and logs
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor L1/L2 NMS teams
- Act as the final decision-maker and escalation authority
- Review configurations, implementations, and monitoring strategies
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement
Reporting & Stakeholder Interaction
- Build executive dashboards and operational reports
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand monitoring requirements
- Participate in design discussions and future NMS roadmap planning
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 6 to 12 years of hands-on SolarWinds experience
- Proven end-to-end SolarWinds implementation experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- SolarWinds architecture, HA, polling engines, scalability
- SNMP, WMI, ICMP, NetFlow
- Experience integrating SolarWinds with Splunk and ITSM tools
- Strong troubleshooting, RCA, and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in leading NMS / Monitoring teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
- Exposure to other monitoring tools (Splunk, Zabbix, SCOM, etc.)
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python)
- ITIL knowledge
