Sftwtrs.AI Private Limited is a deep-tech startup building Wtrops.ai a Voice AI Operations platform that enables enterprises to deploy, manage, and scale intelligent voice agents at production grade. Our platform powers 100K+ calls/day across multiple verticals.

We are a founder-led team with deep expertise in AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise-grade product development. Our work spans India, Australia, and beyond.

The Role

We are looking for a sharp, motivated AI Engineering Intern to join our founding team. This is not a passive internship you will work directly with the Principal Scientist and core engineering team on real product systems, live deployments, AI workflows, and platform capabilities.

This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to the intersection of applied AI, backend engineering, automation, and product development in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You'll Do

AI Product Development:

Assist in building and improving real AI-powered product features across voice AI, workflow automation, and internal platform systems.

LLM & Agent Workflows:

Work on prompt flows, agent logic, conversation handling, evaluation loops, and AI orchestration for production use cases.

Backend Engineering:

Support the development of APIs, backend services, integrations, and business logic powering internal and client-facing systems.

Integrations & Automation:

Help connect external services such as CRMs, telephony systems, APIs, dashboards, and workflow tools into the wtrops.ai ecosystem.

Testing & Reliability:

Contribute to debugging, testing, and improving system performance, stability, and production readiness.

Prototyping & Experimentation:

Assist with rapid experiments, new feature prototypes, and proof-of-concept engineering for upcoming product capabilities.

Documentation & Technical Support:

Help maintain technical documentation, engineering notes, and implementation records across ongoing projects.

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Comfortable with Python and basic software engineering concepts
• Familiar with APIs, scripting, backend logic, or automation workflows
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn quickly
• Able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment with high ownership
• Genuinely interested in AI products, real-world deployment, and applied engineering
• Comfortable using tools like Google Workspace, GitHub, Postman, Notion, or similar

Bonus If You Have

• Experience working with LLMs, OpenAI APIs, agent frameworks, or prompt engineering
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript
• Exposure to voice AI, conversational systems, telephony, or workflow orchestration
• Personal projects, hackathons, or GitHub repositories showing things you've built
• Basic understanding of SaaS systems, cloud deployment, or production engineering
