As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
Hands-on experience of developing microservices using Java and Spring Boot (understanding Spring internals)
Hands-on experience of building distributed system with micro-services
Hands-on experience deploying and running workloads on AWS
Hands-on React, JavaScript, and HTML 2+ years of hands on Python experience
Willingness to work on teams that develop highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications utilizing Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Swagger
Proficiency with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Test Driven Development (TDD). Hands on experience with test automation frameworks, such as Junit, Mockito, Cucumber
Experience with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies, such as ELK stack, Dynatrace, Grafana is a plus
Hands-on experience with building CICD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, AWS Code Deploy
Experience with AWS services, such as S3, EKS, SQS, Lambda, Terraform is highly desirable
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with Agile scrum methodology and CI/CD deployment
Familiarity with Spring framework and Spring Boot applications
Knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and SQL queries
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and Containers
