Job Description

Design and develop next-generation networking platforms for Access, Aggregation, Metro, and Mobile Backhaul deployments using JunOS and Junos EVO architecture.
Build and enhance system-level software components to support scalable and high-performance service provider networks.
Participate across the full product lifecycle including architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and long-term support.
Work closely with product management, system test, and solution test teams to ensure feature completeness and high product quality.
Provide engineering support to Technical Assistance Center teams by diagnosing and resolving critical customer issues in live network environments.
Perform deep system-level debugging to analyze complex issues across software, operating systems, and networking layers.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, performance optimization, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
410 years of experience in software development with strong exposure to system-level programming.
Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming with hands-on debugging experience.
Solid experience working with Unix/Linux systems including user-space processes, kernel concepts, socket programming, and IPC mechanisms.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex software and system issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Internet protocols including TCP, UDP, IPv4, and IPv6.
Familiarity with service provider networking technologies such as Access, Aggregation, Metro, and Mobile Backhaul.
Exposure to Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features including QoS/CoS, ACLs, and firewall technologies.
Experience working with XGS or DNX silicon families such as Jericho and Jericho2.
Understanding of modern software practices including cloud architectures, distributed systems, DevOps, and microservices.
