Software Engineer (C/C++ & Linux Systems)

• Develop, validate, and test next-generation networking platforms for Access, Aggregation, Metro, and Mobile Backhaul deployments.
• Work on system-level software validation using JunOS/Junos EVO architecture across post-silicon environments.
• Design and execute post-silicon test plans, test cases, and debug strategies to ensure functional and performance correctness.
• Perform low-level debugging across hardware and software boundaries to identify root causes of failures.
• Support end-to-end product lifecycle activities including bring-up, feature validation, deployment readiness, and production support.
• Provide engineering support for critical customer escalations by reproducing, analyzing, and resolving issues observed in live deployments.
• Interface with product management, system test, and solution test teams to ensure high-quality and scalable product delivery.

Required Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 410 years of experience in system-level software development or post-silicon validation.
• Strong experience with C/C++ programming and advanced debugging techniques.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments including kernel concepts, user-space processes, sockets, and IPC mechanisms.
• Proven analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, and L2/L3 protocols.
• Familiarity with Service Provider technologies such as Access, Aggregation, Metro, and Mobile Backhaul networks.
• Exposure to QoS/CoS, ACLs, Firewalls, and traffic management features.
• Experience working with XGS/DNX silicon families including Jericho or Jericho2.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and DevOps practices.
