The Shop with Points team is at the heart of Amazon Payments, enabling millions of customers to seamlessly redeem loyalty points - including AmexPoints, SantanderPoints, DocomoPoints, JCBPoints, and more - at checkout across Amazon and a growing network of merchant partners. Our mission is to make loyalty currencies feel as effortless and trustworthy as any other form of payment.
As an SDE-2 on this team, you will work on the critical infrastructure that powers partner integrations, payment operations, customer enrollment, and checkout experiences at Amazon scale. You will own meaningful end-to-end features, collaborate closely with product, UX designer, and external partners, and leave a lasting footprint on how customers interact with their rewards.

Key job responsibilities
. Own the full lifecycle of large customer-facing features - from technical design and development through testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
. Drive requirements alignment with product managers, UX designers, and other key stakeholders to ensure your solutions meet both customer and business needs.
. Proactively identify risks and gaps in existing systems and propose actionable improvements without waiting to be asked.
. Produce clear, concise design documents that articulate trade-offs, justify architectural decisions, and facilitate team alignment.
. Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code that colleagues can understand and extend with confidence.
. Champion comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies participate in on-call rotations and drive operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
