We are seeking a talented Python Backend Developer with over four years of experience in building robust, scalable backend systems using FastAPI and API integration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of backend engineering and AI innovation. You will play a key role in designing high‑performance APIs, integrating large language models (LLMs), and creating intelligent, production‑grade applications powered by modern AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, and maintain high‑performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI

• Build scalable and reliable backend services using Python best practices

• Integrate third‑party systems and services (REST, external APIs)

• Design secure, efficient, and reusable API architectures

• Implement and manage LLM integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain)

• Develop AI‑powered solutions such as chatbots, summarization tools, and automation workflows

• Handle asynchronous programming and background task execution

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability

• Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and data teams

• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Flask/Django)

• Solid understanding of API design, integration, and microservices

• Experience with asynchronous programming (async/await)

• Practical experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.)

• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as FastMCP, LangChain or LlamaIndex

• Strong understanding of:

• Prompt engineering

• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

• Knowledge of ORMs like SQLAlchemy

• Familiarity with caching solutions (e.g., Redis)

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications

• Basic cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Experience with streaming or real‑time systems (Kafka, WebSockets)

• Knowledge of backend security best practices (OAuth2, JWT)

• Familiarity with data processing libraries (Pandas, Polars)

• Exposure to ML pipelines or model deployment workflows

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Comfortable working in agile, fast‑paced environments
