The ITAM Practitioner / SLS Consultant delivers independent IT Asset Management (ITAM) expertise across both consulting engagements and managed services. This role is responsible for managing software compliance, asset lifecycle activities, and FinOps operations, while partnering directly with client stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.
The consultant operates with a high level of autonomy, owning defined workstreams such as license compliance, software lifecycle management, and cloud cost optimization, while contributing to broader ITAM programs. The role requires strong analytical capability to interpret complex asset, license, and consumption data and translate insights into actionable recommendations that reduce risk and optimize technology spend.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver IT Asset Management consulting and managed services engagements independently.
- Perform software license compliance assessments, reconciliations, and risk analysis.
- Manage software lifecycle activities including deployment, usage, renewal, and optimization.
- Support FinOps operations, including cloud cost analysis and optimization recommendations.
- Analyze complex asset, license, and consumption datasets to produce compliance and optimization reports.
- Engage directly with client operational and technical stakeholders.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve asset visibility, compliance posture, and cost control.
- Contribute to and lead ITAM tool implementations and process improvements.
- Support and mentor junior team members with guidance and best practices.
- Ensure all work is delivered with accuracy, accountability, and within defined timelines.
