Social Media Manager

Location: Bengaluru (On-site)

Vedantu is one of India's leading online learning platforms, committed to making quality education accessible through engaging and impactful learning experiences. We are looking for a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to lead content strategy and execution for our Tuitions and One-to-One (OTO) verticals.

Role Overview

As the Social Media Manager, you will own the end-to-end social media strategy for Vedantu's Tuitions and OTO businesses. You will be responsible for planning content, collaborating with academic and marketing teams, driving content production, publishing across platforms, analyzing performance, and growing our social media presence organically.

This role requires someone who can blend creativity with analytics, stay ahead of content trends, and translate business goals into engaging social media campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy

● Develop and execute monthly and quarterly social media strategies aligned with business and marketing objectives.

● Build platform-specific content strategies across Instagram

● Identify trends, seasonal opportunities, and cultural moments relevant to students and parents.

Content Planning & Creation

● Own the social media content calendar for the Tuitions and OTO categories. ● Ideate high-performing content formats including:

○ Reels and Shorts

○ Student success stories

○ Teacher-led educational content

○ Parent-focused informational content

○ Trending and topical content

○ Campaign creatives

● Write compelling captions, hooks, scripts, and content briefs.

● Coordinate with designers, video editors, and creators to produce high-quality content within timelines.

Cross-functional Collaboration

● Partner closely with:

○ Academic teams and teachers

○ Brand and creative teams

○ Product and CRM teams

○ Video production teams

● Translate campaign objectives into engaging social media assets. ● Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Publishing & Community Management

● Schedule and publish content across all relevant platforms.

● Ensure timely execution of campaign launches and marketing initiatives. ● Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement where applicable. ● Maintain brand consistency across channels.

Analytics & Channel Growth

● Track and report weekly and monthly performance metrics including: ○ Reach

○ Engagement

○ Views

○ Watch time

○ Follower growth

○ Shares and saves

○ Traffic generated

○ Lead contribution (where applicable)

● Identify insights and recommend optimization strategies based on performance data.

● Conduct competitor benchmarking and trend analysis.

● Continuously experiment with new formats, posting schedules, and content themes to drive organic growth.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.

● At least 1 year of experience managing social media for a consumer brand, preferably in EdTech, D2C, or digital-first organizations.

● Strong understanding of Instagram and community handling

● Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools.

● Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.

● Basic understanding of video production workflows and creative direction.

● Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities.
