About the Role

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a cohesive social media management strategy that aligns with the organisation's mission and objectives. The role involves managing the organisation's presence across various social media platforms, creating and curating engaging content, fostering online communities, and driving social media growth and engagement. The Social Media Manager will work closely with the content, design, and communications teams to ensure a consistent and impactful brand presence on social media.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute a winning social media strategy to boost online presence and engagement.
  • Oversee all social media accounts (like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and craft content calendars in sync with our editorial plan.
  • Create visually appealing and compelling social media content, including text posts, images, videos, and live updates, to effectively communicate the organisation's message and engage the target audience.
  • Lead social media strategy across platforms, ensuring our content resonates with our target audience.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries across social media platforms in a timely and professional manner, ensuring effective community management.
  • Collaborate with the content and design teams to ensure a cohesive brand identity and messaging across all social media platforms.
  • Understand the social media metrics and performance data from the Social Media Analytics team to derive insights, identify trends, and optimise content and engagement strategies with the Social Media Strategy Team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices, and adapt the organisation's social media strategy accordingly.
  • Coordinate and execute social media campaigns, contests, and other interactive initiatives to drive audience engagement and growth.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant influencers, communities, and organisations to expand the organisation's reach and visibility.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on the performance of social media initiatives to the management team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a mission-driven or non-profit organisation.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies that drive engagement, growth, and measurable results.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools, such as Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, and Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with the organisation's mission, target audience, and digital presence is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Excellent understanding of major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, and their respective features and best practices.
  • Conjuring captivating content that paints a vivid picture of our cause, drawing hearts and minds to our mission.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret social media metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in community management, including responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to conceptualise and execute innovative social media campaigns and initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and proactive approach to staying up-to-date with the constantly evolving social media landscape.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in working with non-profit organisations.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies.

Pay range and compensation package

This is a full-time position in Muddenahalli Campus.
