The Role

This role serves as a key execution partner for driving social and digital excellence for a global mobile brand in India. The Social Media Manager will translate brand strategy into high-impact campaigns and community initiatives, working closely with global stakeholders and agency teams. You will own and grow active brand communities, ensuring consistent engagement and advocacy across the Indian market.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Campaign Oversight
  • Support the Brand Manager in developing integrated social media and community strategies aligned with global brand objectives.
  • Oversee the strategic direction of social campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Snapchat.
  • Contribute to major product launch campaigns for smartphones and mobile apps with social-first amplification plans.
  • Monitor A/B testing across creatives, formats, audiences, and placements to ensure performance and scale.
Community & Platform Management
  • Provide hands-on management of brand accounts across Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Quora, and Discord.
  • Build, moderate, and grow brand communities with a focus on engagement, retention, and advocacy.
  • Drive monthly engagement plans, including the end-to-end management of 1–2 contests (from conceptualization to prize fulfillment).
  • Manage community engagement and comment moderation, ensuring timely and brand-aligned responses.
Insights & Coordination
  • Leverage social listening tools to track sentiment, trends, and competitor activity.
  • Create and present monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations aligned with brand KPIs.
  • Coordinate with agency partners and cross-functional teams (creative, media, analytics, and global) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure all Indian campaigns align with global best practices while remaining culturally relevant.

RequirementsMust-Have Skills
  • Industry Experience: Direct experience managing online communities specifically for smartphone or mobile app brands in India.
  • Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge of Meta, LinkedIn, X, and Snapchat, alongside community platforms like Reddit and Discord.
  • Execution Mindset: Proven experience in community building, moderation, and managing live activations or contests.
  • Launch Experience: A track record of participating in digital-first product launch campaigns.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong reporting and stakeholder coordination skills with an execution-driven focus.
