About the Role: Social Media Manager

This role is for someone who understands social media as a cultural and brand-building tool, not just a posting calendar.

You live inside platforms. You understand why certain formats work, how trends emerge, and how meaning can travel at scale. You're equally comfortable executing fast, trend-aware content and managing thoughtful, research-led narratives that build long-term brand equity.

You will be responsible for shaping how Rarekind and its associated IPs show up across social platforms visually, tonally, and strategically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage Rarekind's presence across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube (shorts), and emerging platforms as relevant
  • Identify and adapt trending formats, cultural moments, and platform shifts in a way that aligns with Rarekind's voice and positioning
  • Plan and execute social content calendars that balance trend-led content with meaningful, research-backed storytelling
  • Collaborate with research, strategy, and creative teams to translate insights into high-impact social content
  • Create and design social media assets using Canva and basic design tools while maintaining brand consistency
  • Write clear, compelling captions, hooks, and micro-copies that reflect brand tone and intent
  • Use AI tools to enhance content ideation, caption writing, trend research, performance analysis, and workflow efficiency
  • Monitor performance metrics and audience behavior to refine content strategy and improve engagement and reach
  • Stay deeply aware of branding, marketing, and positioning principles across digital platforms

What We're Looking For
  • 1 to 3 years of experience managing social media for brands, creators, agencies, or media platforms
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, formats, algorithms, and content behavior across platforms
  • Ability to balance trend-driven content with thoughtful, insight-based storytelling
  • Knowledge of branding, digital marketing, and content positioning
  • Working proficiency with Canva and basic design principles for social media posts
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, research, and optimization
  • Strong written communication skills and a sharp sense of tone and voice
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving creative environment
  • A genuine interest in culture, creators, storytelling, and the future of content

Bonus if you have experience in:

  • Agency environments or creative studios
  • Branded content, IP-led pages, or talent-driven accounts
  • Community-building or audience-first content strategies
