Role Overview:

This role is all about leading cult's social media vision driving high-impact campaigns, shaping brand storytelling, and building a strong, engaged community. It combines team leadership, creative direction, and data-driven strategy to position cult as a trendsetting active lifestyle brand across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Enablement

  • Direct Management: Manage, mentor, and unblock a team of Social Media Managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Workflow Optimization: Establish seamless processes between the social team, design, and the creative function to ensure 100% brand alignment.
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Act as the central social media stakeholder for high-stakes, brand-led projects, collaborating seamlessly with product, PR, cross-sell teams to ensure social strategy is integrated into the broader business roadmap and product launches

Creative Vision & Brand Positioning

  • Creative North Star: Lead the conceptualization of high-impact social campaigns that prioritize the positioning of cult as an active lifestyle brand.
  • Narrative Excellence: Use creative storytelling to create a high-intent, loyal community.
  • Creator Partnerships: Orchestrate impactful collaborations with relevant creators and content brands to amplify organic reach and enhance brand credibility.

Strategy & Measurable Impact

  • Organic Community Funnel: Leverage data-driven insights to drive high organic reach, which translates into good engagement, ultimately resulting in the creation of a highly engaged community.
  • Market Trendsetting: Stay ahead of digital trends, ensuring the brand isn't just following memes, but cementing its position as an industry leader.
  • Brand-to-Brand Partnerships: Identify and execute cool, high-affinity collaborations with other brands that align with our active lifestyle positioning.
  • Tailor high-impact strategies across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and X, ensuring each piece of content is native to the platform's unique audience behavior and algorithm.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 5-8 years in Social Media Marketing, with at least 2+ years in a formal people-management role.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience similar to growing an account on Instagram, and executing large-scale campaigns.
  • Performance Awareness: Possession of a solid foundational knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, with the ability to collaborate with performance teams to ensure organic content and paid ads work in a unified, effective funnel.
  • Creative Portfolio: A proven history of conceptualizing campaigns that move beyond static posting to create genuine cultural moments and interactive brand experiences.
