Social Media Executive YODA (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals)

Location: Mumbai (with travel across all YODA shelters)

Position Type: Full-time

Reporting To: Head of Communications / CEO

At YODA, we believe in giving a voice to the voiceless. As one of India's leading animal welfare organizations, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray and abandoned animals while building a compassionate society through awareness, advocacy, and action.

We are now expanding our digital presence and are looking for a creative, passionate, and driven Social Media Executive to join our communications team!

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative professional who can bring YODA's mission, rescues, adoptions, success stories, and campaigns to life on social media.

The role demands someone who is comfortable traveling across our shelters (Khar, Malad, and others), interacting with animals, capturing real-time stories, and occasionally working evening or late shifts during emergencies or events.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, create, and manage engaging content (posts, reels, stories, videos) across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

Cover shelter activities, rescues, adoption drives, and events real-time posting when needed.

Develop creative campaigns to boost awareness, adoptions, fundraising, and community engagement.

Work closely with the shelter and operations teams to gather updates, photos, and videos regularly.

Ideate and assist in influencer collaborations, campaign rollouts, and special projects.

Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions professionally and promptly.

Track performance and optimize content based on engagement metrics.

Maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with organizational activities and priorities.

Occasionally support basic design needs via Canva or similar tools (design team support available if required).

Core Expectations:

Must be willing and comfortable working closely with animals (dogs, cats, birds).

Must be willing to travel across YODA shelters and partner locations for content coverage.

Must be flexible with timings occasional evening, weekend, or late shifts (for rescues/events) will be part of the role.

Must possess a high level of empathy, patience, and a genuine love for animals.

Should have basic photography/videography skills (mobile-first content creation is acceptable).

Should bring creativity, initiative, and storytelling passion to the table.

Deliverables:

Minimum 2025 posts per month (posts/reels/stories combined).

Real-time coverage for minimum 24 key events/campaigns per month.

Content calendar planning and execution monthly.

Minimum 2 influencer collaboration support activities quarterly.

Monthly analytics report with insights and learnings.

Growth of community engagement month on month (likes, shares, comments, saves).

Salary : 25k-30k
