Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop SoC Post silicon test plan, performance estimates and execution schedules.
  • Drive Hardware planning and co-ordinate to meet other system bringup and performance evaluation dependencies.
  • Manage silicon test plan execution, reporting and co-ordinate on performance outlier analysis.
  • Drive characterization, tuning and optimization of power and performance for Cloud, Enterprise, HPC/ML/AI workloads.
  • Drive system and micro-architecture level debugs and resolve silicon-level performance and power observations/discrepancies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive the definition and execution of performance measurement methodologies and validation against pre-silicon projections.
  • Work with firmware and software teams to enable and optimize performance and power management features on SoCs.
  • Drive product OPN definitions by working with performance architects
  • Collaborate with Software, Firmware, and IP Design teams to ensure Production Ready Silicon is tuned to be most performant for workloads that customer care about.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in managing Server SoC post silicon execution projects.
  • Strong foundation in CPU core, memory, storage and I/O subsystems
  • Power and performance analysis of Server class SoCs.
  • Familiarity with complex cloud or enterprise software such as database, data analytics, machine learning, and relevant benchmarks such as SPECCPU, SPECjbb15, etc
  • Familiarity with operating systems concepts (eg scheduling, memory management, paging, interrupt handling, etc
  • Data analysis skills (Excel or Python) and presentation skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • B.Tech/ M.Tech/ PhD in Computer Science/Engineering or related field of study with >10 years in Processor performance/power teams.
