About the job

The Site Construction Manager will lead on-site execution and delivery of retail store fit-out projects from mobilisation to handover. The role requires hands-on experience in managing multiple contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-efficient store delivery aligned with brand standards and safety norms

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Delivery
  • Oversee end-to-end site execution for new store build-outs, renovations, and refurbishments.
  • Manage day-to-day coordination between civil, MEP, interior, and specialist contractors.
  • Review drawings, BOQs, and specifications before execution to ensure design intent and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular site progress meetings and report deviations to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management
  • Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and vendors for timely work delivery.
  • Validate measurement sheets, running bills, and site progress before certification.
  • Monitor manpower productivity, resource allocation, and work sequencing.
  • Manage site-level procurement coordination and material flow to prevent delays.
  • Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Implement and enforce safety standards, PPE usage, and housekeeping practices.
  • Ensure workmanship and materials meet approved quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct site audits, snag reviews, and final handover checks with QA/QC and design teams.
  • Liaise with mall management, landlords, and local authorities for permits and compliance.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain daily progress reports, photo documentation, and snag lists.
  • Update dashboards on site progress, key milestones, and delay reasons.
  • Support post-completion evaluations, lessons learned, and process improvement reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail, commercial, or interior fit-out projects.
  • Proven track record in fast-track retail rollouts and multi-location execution.
  • Strong understanding of services coordination (HVAC, Electrical, Fire-Fighting) and interior finishes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Excel-based reporting.
