Job Title: Site Engineer Interior Design

Job Summary:
This is a full-time job with Design Studio 91. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the execution of interior design projects on-site, ensuring that designs are implemented according to specifications, timelines, and budgets. This role involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and the design team to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of work. The Site Engineer ensures that all aspects of the interior design project, from construction to finishing touches, are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities on-site during the construction and fit-out phases of interior design projects.
- Ensure that the work is carried out according to the approved design plans, specifications, and standards.
- Monitor the progress of the project, ensuring that it stays on schedule and within budget.
- Inspect the quality of materials, workmanship, and installations to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Perform regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Verify that all installations (furniture, lighting, flooring, wall finishes, etc.) meet the desired quality standards and are completed on time.
- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and project managers to ensure the smooth transition of design concepts into real-world applications.
- Attend site meetings and provide feedback on progress, challenges, and any design-related modifications needed.
- Help resolve any technical issues related to design, materials, or construction methods during project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a site engineer, with a focus on interior design or fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
- Experience working with interior designers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and project management tools.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of regional languages, sustainable design practices and trends is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
