Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer with 5+ years of experience in construction project execution. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance, coordinating with multiple teams, and supporting timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Execution Supervision
Supervise day-to-day construction activities including civil, structural, and finishing works.
Ensure execution as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors and site supervisors to achieve timely completion of tasks.
- Drawing Interpretation Implementation
Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report them to senior engineers or consultants.
- Material Manpower Management
Plan and monitor material requirements based on project schedules.
Ensure optimal material usage to minimize wastage.
Oversee labor teams, foremen, and subcontractor workforce.
Conduct quality checks for RCC, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes and QA/QC procedures.
Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate approvals with consultants.
- Progress Tracking Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Maintain site documentation such as logs, inspection records, and permits.
- Coordination with Other Teams
Coordinate with MEP (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC) and other teams for smooth execution.
Ensure proper sequencing of activities to avoid rework or delays.
Enforce safety standards including PPE usage, scaffolding safety, and barricading.
Report unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents to the safety team.
Resolve routine technical issues at the site level.
Escalate complex design or execution issues to senior management.
- Subcontractor Supervision
Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
Verify measurements and completed work for billing purposes.
Assist in pre-commissioning tests (e.g., plumbing, electrical).
Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure during project handover.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering
5+ years of hands-on experience in construction site execution
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
Ability to read and interpret drawings (Civil, Structural, MEP)
Good communication and coordination skills
Knowledge of IS codes and quality standards
Preferred Skills
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, AutoCAD preferred)
Experience in residential/commercial high-rise projects
Familiarity with project management tools
