We're looking for a hands-on Shopify Store Manager to own both our Shopify stores end-to-end — from day-to-day operations and vendor management to development planning, campaign execution, and conversion optimisation. You will lead an in-house team of a developer, UI/UX designer, and QA engineer, and act as the single point of accountability for everything that happens on our stores.
This is a product ownership role, not a maintenance role. You'll drive the roadmap, manage technical vendors, coordinate with marketing on campaigns, and ensure the stores perform at their best — commercially and technically.
What You'll Own
Store Operations
- Day-to-day management of both D2C and B2B Shopify stores
- Product catalogue management — listings, pricing, variants, bundles, and metadata
- Inventory coordination with the warehouse and ops team
- Order management, returns, and fulfilment exception handlin
- App ecosystem management — evaluating, installing, and maintaining Shopify apps
Development Planning & Vendor Management
- Own the development roadmap for both stores — prioritise features, fixes, and improvements
- Write and manage briefs for the in-house developer — clear specs, timelines, and acceptance criteria
- Be the primary point of contact for all technical vendors — payment gateway (PG) teams, Shopify app support, and third-party integration partners
- Plan and schedule maintenance windows, app updates, and platform upgrades with minimal business disruption
- Escalate architecture and technology decisions to the CTO as needed
Campaign Execution
- Receive campaign briefs from marketing and own all store-side execution — landing pages, banners, offers, discount codes, product visibility, and promotional flows–
- Build and maintain a pre-campaign, during-campaign, and post-campaign checklist for the store
- Ensure everything is live, tested, and QA-verified before campaign go-live
- Conduct post-campaign store audits — revert changes, archive assets, and analyse performance
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Own the CRO roadmap — identify drop-off points, hypothesise fixes, and run A/B tests
- Work with the UI/UX designer to improve PDP, cart, and checkout flows
- Use heatmaps, session recordings (Hotjar / Microsoft Clarity), and GA4 to drive decisions
- Improve key D2C metrics: conversion rate, AOV, add-to-cart rate, and checkout completion
B2B Portal Management
- Manage the B2B wholesale portal — partner onboarding flows, pricing tiers, and bulk ordering experience
- Coordinate with the sales team on partner requirements and portal improvements
Team Leadership
- Directly manage the Shopify Developer, UI/UX Designer, and QA Engineer — task allocation, sprint planning, performance reviews, and career development
- Foster a delivery-focused team culture — clear priorities, structured releases, no last-minute scrambles
- Work closely with CRO, Head of Growth, and Head of Marketing as key stakeholders
Analytics & Reporting
- Own weekly store performance reporting — traffic, revenue, CVR, AOV, and returns
- Maintain dashboards in GA4 and Shopify Analytics
- Flag issues proactively — traffic anomalies, conversion drops, app conflicts, and platform outages
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in Shopify store management or e-commerce product ownership, preferably in D2C health, wellness, or FMCG
- Proven experience owning a Shopify store end-to-end — you should be comfortable inside Shopify admin yourself, not just overseeing others
- Experience managing or leading a small in-house team (developer, designer, QA)
- Solid understanding of CRO principles with hands-on experience running A/B tests
- Experience working with technical vendors — payment gateways, app partners, and logistics integrations
- Comfortable with GA4, Shopify Analytics, and data-driven decision making
- Experience managing B2B or wholesale Shopify setups is a strong plus
- Strong communicator — you'll be the bridge between business stakeholders, design, and technology
