We are seeking a skilled and proactive ServiceNow Developer/Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, developing, and troubleshooting various ServiceNow modules, ensuring the platform's optimal performance and alignment with business needs. This role requires strong technical proficiency in ServiceNow, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Configure, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules, including but not limited to ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, CMDB), ITOM, HRSD, and CSM.
- Design and implement robust solutions using ServiceNow platform capabilities such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Workflows, and Flow Designer.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using various methods like REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and Integration Hub.
- Perform regular administration tasks including user and group management, security controls, system upgrades, and patch installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ServiceNow configurations, custom applications, and integration points.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure developed solutions meet business objectives.
- Design and build custom applications on the ServiceNow platform to address specific business needs.
- Monitor platform performance and implement optimizations to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends to recommend strategic improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Administrator.
- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow platform configuration and customization.
- Expertise in JavaScript for scripting within ServiceNow (client-side and server-side).
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes and ITIL framework.
- Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB), and ideally others like ITOM, HRSD, or CSM.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and other data exchange methods.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues within the platform.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is highly preferred.
- Additional ServiceNow developer certifications are a plus.
