Service Engineer

Our client is a Gujarat-based engineering company collaborating with a German partner to deliver high-quality transmission solutions. They specialize in the precision manufacturing of industrial and special-purpose gearboxes.

Job Position: Service Engineer

Job Location: AHMEDABAD (PRAHLADNAGAR) /SURENDRANAGAR

Job Timing: 9am – 6pm, Monday - Saturday

Job Type: Full-Time (Work from Office)

Joining Type: Immediate 

Education: B.E/B.Tech/Diploma – Mechanical

Experience: 2-4 years

Bonus: as per company norms

Roles and Responsibilities ·      

Install, commission, and test industrial gearboxes at customer locations

·      Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and preventive servicing

·      Diagnose mechanical faults and provide effective repair solutions

·      Handle gearbox disassembly, inspection, and reassembly

·      Conduct alignment checks, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring

·      Prepare detailed service reports and documentation after each visit

·      Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams

·      Coordinate with design, QC and production teams for recurring issues or improvements

·      Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures

·      Travel to customer sites as required for service support

·      Desired Candidate Profile

·      Strong understanding of gearbox systems (helical, bevel, planetary, worm, etc.)

·      Knowledge of bearings, lubrication systems, seals, and gear mechanisms

·      Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

·      Hands-on experience with tools, measuring instruments, and alignment equipment

·      Problem-solving and analytical skills

·      Good communication and customer-handling skills

·      Basic computer skills (MS Office, reporting tools)
