Role Summary:
Responsible for editing engaging videos for a kids educational YouTube channel with a strong focus on viewer retention, pacing, and overall video quality.
Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos and Shorts
- Create strong hooks in the first 30 seconds
- Maintain fast, engaging pacing suitable for kids content
- Add transitions, text overlays, and basic motion graphics
- Ensure videos are optimized for YouTube format and quality
- Deliver videos consistently according to the publishing schedule
Requirements:
- Proven experience editing YouTube videos
- Strong understanding of viewer retention and pacing
- Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, or similar)
- Ability to deliver high-quality edits on a regular schedule
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Average viewer retention rate
- Engagement and watch time performance of edited videos
