Cialfo is a leading platform connecting students, higher education institutions, and counselors through technology-driven solutions. Launched in 2017 with a mission to make education accessible to 100 million students, Cialfo provides a range of mobile and web solutions to students, K-12 institutions, and higher education institutions. We're one of the fastest-growing tech startups in the region, consistently charting new heights!
About This Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Video Editor to own how Cialfo's brand stories are told through video — across every digital channel, campaign, and product narrative we produce. This is a hands-on IC role where you will be the primary creative force behind our video output, setting the standard for quality, pacing, and visual storytelling at scale.
From performance ads and social-first content to product explainers, brand campaigns, and event highlight reels, your work will directly reach millions of students, counselors, educators, and institutions globally. We need someone who brings both deep post-production craft and strategic creative thinking — someone who can independently interpret a brief, make confident editorial decisions, and elevate every frame of content that carries the Cialfo name.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own end-to-end post-production for digital marketing campaigns, product launches, brand storytelling, and performance marketing — from raw footage assembly through to final export
- Produce high-impact video content across all major formats and platforms: social media, paid advertising, YouTube, email, website, and live event experiences
- Apply motion graphics, typography animation, and visual effects to elevate storytelling beyond basic cuts — working natively in After Effects as needed
- Manage the full post-production pipeline: rough cut, sound design, color correction and grading, subtitle and captioning, and platform-optimized exports
- Maintain and evolve Cialfo's video brand language — ensuring visual consistency, tonal accuracy, and narrative coherence across all video touchpoints
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and design teams to conceptualize and execute compelling visual narratives, contributing creative direction rather than just execution
- Adapt video assets for multiple platforms and formats with an understanding of aspect ratios, duration best practices, and performance-first content principles
- Mentor and provide editorial direction to junior editors or production partners where required
- Incorporate and synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders efficiently, maintaining creative integrity and timeline discipline
- Stay current with platform trends, editing techniques, and emerging tools — including AI-assisted workflows where appropriate
About You- Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Film, Multimedia, Mass Communication, Visual Arts, Video Production, or a related field
- Experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Video Editor in a marketing, media, agency, or in-house creative environment
- A portfolio, showreel, or reel link that demonstrates senior-level editorial ownership across formats — campaign storytelling, short-form social, product explainers, and performance ads (mandatory — applications without a reel or portfolio link will not be reviewed)
- Proven track record of independently managing post-production workflows from brief to final delivery, without requiring close supervision
- Demonstrated ability to adapt creative and editorial style across distinct campaign types, audiences, and tones within a single brand system
- Hands-on experience with motion graphics and animation as an integral part of the editing workflow — not outsourced to a separate designer
- Experience working in or closely with advertising agencies strongly preferred
- Skills & qualities
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; strong working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects
- Deep command of post-production fundamentals: editorial pacing, visual rhythm, sound design, color grading, and audience engagement
- Strong understanding of motion graphics, typographic animation, and how visual effects serve storytelling rather than decorate it
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at varying stages of production, consistently meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills — able to present and defend creative decisions to non-video stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently as a senior IC while collaborating actively across marketing, content, and design teams
- Sharp instinct for adapting tone and pacing to different audiences — student-facing energy vs. institutional credibility are not the same edit
- Good to Have
- Experience in EdTech, B2B SaaS, or education-related brands and an understanding of the nuances of communicating to student and institutional audiences
- Familiarity with social media performance marketing video formats, including platform-native specs and engagement-first editing principles
- Basic shooting or directing experience — ability to work with raw footage, brief videographers, or manage a lightweight shoot independently
- Working knowledge of Canva Pro or quick-turnaround templated video tools for team enablement
- Familiarity with AI-assisted video tools (e.g., Runway, Descript, Adobe Firefly video features) with a considered, brand-appropriate approach to their use
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve for color grading
